Copyright & DMCA Policy
TempMailPortal respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This page explains how to report claimed copyright infringement and how we handle those reports. We operate a good-faith notice-and-takedown process consistent with the principles of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable law.
1. What TempMailPortal does (and doesn't) host
TempMailPortal is a free, receive-only disposable email tool. We do not publish a media library or accept user uploads in the ordinary sense. The only third-party material that passes through the Service is inbound email sent by others to public, temporary addresses. That mail is deleted automatically — normally within 24 hours — so in most cases any material complained of has already expired before a notice can be processed. 2. How to file a copyright notice
If you are a copyright owner (or authorised to act for one) and you believe material accessible through the Service infringes your copyright, send a written notice to abuse@tempmailportal.com with the subject line "DMCA / Copyright Notice". To be actionable, your notice must include all of the following:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorised to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list, if multiple works).
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it — including the specific temporary address and, where possible, the message subject, sender, and date/time it was received.
- Your contact information: full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
3. What happens after a valid notice
On receipt of a notice that substantially complies with the requirements above, we will review it and, where the material is still accessible through the Service and removal is appropriate, remove or disable access to it. Because disposable inboxes and their contents auto-expire quickly, the material has often already been deleted by the time we act. Where a sender, address, or domain is responsible for repeated or clearly infringing activity, we may also block or rate-limit that address, domain, or IP address.
4. Counter-notification
If you believe material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to abuse@tempmailportal.com. It should include your signature; identification of the material and the location where it appeared before removal; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and your name, address, and telephone number, with consent to the jurisdiction of an appropriate court and to accept service of process from the party who filed the original notice.
5. Repeat infringers
We will, in appropriate circumstances and at our discretion, restrict or block addresses, domains, or IP addresses associated with repeat infringement, and take any other steps we consider necessary to protect the Service and the rights of others.
6. Misrepresentations
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a copyright notice or counter-notification can expose you to liability for damages (including costs and legal fees) under Section 512(f) of the DMCA and equivalent laws. Please be sure your claim is well founded before you submit it.
